Notable People at SSAS

The Summer School of Alcohol Studies benefited tremendously from theĀ founders of the Center of Alcohol Studies, as well as others who contributed to its success over the years.

Additionally, graduates of the Yale School were instrumental in forming state alcohol commissions. At least 38 such commissions were established between 1943 and 1952. The School also served as a model for over a dozen summer institutes and university courses. Many SSAS alumni became instructors or major benefactors at other alcohol education programs.
